Kazhugu director Sathya Siva comes up with Andhi Mazhai Megam
Director Sathya Siva is working on his next project and has titled it as Andhi Mazhai Megam. His last outing Kazhugu was critically acclaimed and the director is raring to begin his next film as early as possible.
Reports from Kollywood say that Vishnu of Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu fame has been roped in to play the male lead in Andhi Mazhai Megam. On the female lead, talks are on with Nithya Menen but the deal had not been struck yet, we are told.
Andhi Mazhai Megam will have songs scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. More details about the other cast and crew will be known in a few days’ time, say sources.
Complaint against Kazhugu director Sathya Siva
A young woman has filed a case against Sathyasiva, a promising director who recently made his directorial debut with the Krishna-Bindu Madhavi starrer Kazhugu. The woman in question, Sivaranjani, is said to have worked as a production executive during the making of Sathyasiva’s debut film as director.
Sivaranjani has accused Sathyasiva of falling in love, moving around with her on the premise of getting married to her and then ditching her. Sources close to the director say that he fell in love with Sivaranjani during the film’s shoot and even decided to get married to her. However, Siva’s decision changed all of a sudden as he decided not to go ahead with the marriage.
In her complaint with the Kumanan Chavady police, Sivaranjani has said “I met Sathyasiva during the shoot of Kazhugu. It was he who first proposed to me. I didn’t relent initially even as he made many attempts to win my heart. He even threatened that he’d commit suicide either by jumping off the terrace or hand himself from the noose if I didn’t agree to his proposal for love.
“Finally, I relented and fell in love with him. We went around and visited many places after Sathyasiva promised to me that he’d marry me at any cost. He didn’t take me to his parents and introduce me to them as promised earlier. I now hear that he’s been moving around with many other girls. Out of desperation, I attempted to commit suicide but survived after getting timely treatment from the hospital.
“I want Sathyasiva to face the consequences of having meted out gross injustice to me,” the petition concluded thus. The police are conducting investigation into the matter.
