Director Thiru has said that 80% of Samar has been completed with just a few scenes and songs remaining to be canned. This is Vishal starrer will comprise scenes shot in Thailand. Apparently, there are some mind-boggling stunts and chase sequences in Samar which would be the highlight of the film. The stunts have been choreographed by Thailand-based stunt master Nung.
Samar stars Vishal and Trisha as the lead pair and they are sharing the screen space for the first time their career. Sunaina, J D Chakravarthy and Manoj Bajpai are also in the star cast among others.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for this film. It is worth mentioning here that Samar was initially titled Samaran but the filmmakers decided to change the title at later stages.
