Ranjitha has confirmed that she was planning to make a documentary film on Swami Nithyananda. “But I have now put the plans on hold. However, it is a temporary decision and I will make one after some time,” she said.
The actress, who was caught in a controversy due to her alleged proximity with Nithyananda, said in an interview to a Tamil weekly that the documentary would have details about various noble works being done by Nithyananda and his devotees’ experience with him.
She said the 292nd Madurai Adheenam had made a right decision by announcing Nithyananda as his successor.
“Swami Nithyananda is the right person to lead Hinduism. In a very short span, he has created crores of followers all over the world,” she said.
The actress, who is popular for films such as ‘Jai Hind‘ and ‘Nadodi Thendral‘, added, “I am one among the millions of devotees of Nithyananda. I will always remain one and I visit his ashram as a volunteer. No special status is being accorded to me there”.

Ranjitha’s Documentary on Nithyanandha
To a Tamil magazine actress Ranjitha has said that she would be making a documentary on Nithyanandha in future.
The controversial actress, in an interview to a Tamil weekly, said that she was planning to make a documentary on her spiritual guru Nithyanandha but due to certain reasons she dropped that plan. But, she confirmed that she would do this documentary in future when time comes. The documentary would show the life and story of religious leader and his spiritual services. The experiences of the devotees would also be shown in the film.
She justified the appointment of Nithyanandha as the next Madurai Aadheenam as she says that he was the right person to head the Aadheenam and lead the Hindus.
The actress also said that she is still a disciple and staunch follower of Nithyanandha just like other millions of followers across the globe.
The actress was caught in a controversy after a video showing her in compromising positions with Nithyanandha. Both Nithyanandha and Ranjitha had questioned the truthfulness of the video saying that it was morphed just to malign the reputation of Nithyanandha.
