Actress Ranjitha has filed a defamation suit against Kanchi Jayendra Saraswathi at the Egmore Additional Chief Metropolitan Court yesterday. The actress was flanked by her lawyers, who filed the petition at the court.
Actress Ranjitha has said that she is holding a responsible position in the society and her visits to the Nithyananda Asharam has been defamed by Kanchi Jayendra Saraswathi with the statement that she is following Nithyananda wherever he goes. This amounts to defamation as it tarnishes my image; Ranjitha is reported to have said.
Further, Nithyananda has also condemned this statement and has demanded a rebuttal from the Kanchi Jayendra Saraswathi.
It is worth mentioning that Kanchi Jayendra Saraswathi’s statement that Ranjitha is seen wherever Nithyananda goes has been widely publicized by various television channels and other media.
