‘Kochadaiyan’ is the film featuring Rajnikanth, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Jackie Shroff, Rukmini, Sarathkumar, Aadhi and several others. The shooting of this film is currently on in Kerala.
Superstar Rajnikanth and Deepika Padukone have performed classical dance for a song in this film. It is to be mentioned that, Deepika Padukone is an exponent in Bharathanatyam and Kathak dance forms.
Deepika Padukone first did a classical performance in her debut film ‘Om Shanti Om’ for the song ‘Dhoom Tana…’, over five years ago. That was for a few shots alone. But, Deepika Padukone is performing a full-fledged classical song in ‘Kochadaiyan’.
The choreography for this song is done by Choreographer Saroj Khan, for the song composed by A.R Rahman. The artists and dancers were rehearsing for 3 three days. Later, this song was filmed in 2 days time.
Choreographer Saroj Khan said, “I am working in a Tamil film after a very long gap. Though, there was such a huge gap, I am happy that, I am working in a Rajnikanth film now”.

Super Star Rajnikanth shook his legs with Deepika Padukone for a song sequence for Kochadaiyan in Kerala.
Directed by Soundarya Rajnikanth, the movie is made using 3D technology. Having completed some talkie portion in Pinewood Studios in London, the cast and crew chose to shoot the dance sequence between the lead pair in Kerala last week.
Deepika Padukone shook her legs for a Calassical number with Rajnikanth and it was choreographed by Saroj Khan. The song has been composed by A.R Rahman.
Both Rajnikanth and Deepika Padukone did intense rehearsal before the shoot and the onscreen chemistry is amazing, sources say.
