In less than three days from now, Prabhu Deva‘s much expected directorial venture ‘Rowdy Rathore‘, the Hindi version of ‘Siruthai‘, will hit the screens. After that, he is expected to start a new film with Shahid Kapoor.
“Prabhu Deva has become an actors’ delight in Bollywood. Almost all top stars are eager to work with him and it’s almost finalized that Shahid will be the protagonist of his next film,” sources say.
‘Rowdy Rathore‘ has Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. Cashing in on a guest appearance by Vijay in a song sequence, the movie is releasing in a number of theatres in Chennai.
The actor-choreographer-director recently said: “I am happy with the offers I am getting in Bollywood. I really want to do a film in the south, but time is not permitting me. Rowdy Rathore will be a mix of all interesting elements.”

Prabhu Deva who is eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Rowdy Rathore‘ (June 1) hosted a huge party for his team in Chennai on (May 27) and it so happened that the event coincided with IPL Final match. After having won the coveted trophy, KKR’s head Shahrukh Khan and team also joined this party!
Team ‘Rowdy Rathore‘, that is to say, Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Sabrina Khan was present at the event. They were assisted by B-town celebs including Juhi Chawla, Ritesh, Genelia, Sajid Khan and Chunkey Pandey.
The party was held in Prabhu Deva‘s house in a posh area in Chennai. Present at the event were top notch celebrities Shahrukh Khan accompanied by wife Gauri Khan, Vijay, director Shankar and a host of south celebs including Simran, Sneha, Prasanna, Prakash Raj and wife Pony Verma, Siddharth, Trisha, Rana Daggubati, Poonam Kaur, Priya Anand, Sonia Agarwal, Divya Spandana, Jayam Ravi and wife Aarti, Krish and wife Sangeeta, Vivek, Selvaraghavan and wife Geetanjali, Lakshmi Manchu, Sudeep, Sundar C and Charmi!
The event was a fun affair with Shahrukh Khan, ‘Khiladi‘ Akshay Kumar and Prabhu Deva danced to ‘Chinta ta ta…’ with Vijay cheering them! One super big bash that brought together the south and the north, indeed!
