Contrary to reports that Vishal has been signed up to play the lead role in the film to be directed by the Engeyum Eppothum fame Saravanan, it has now emerged that he is not playing the hero in the film.
Saravanan had initially roped in Aarya for the role but for some reason the star opted out. News then started to flow that Vishal will be replacing his buddy Arya in this film which is to be produced by Lingusamy’s Tirupati Brothers.
However, sources in the film industry have now confirmed that Vishal is currently associated with three projects – Samar, directed by Thiru, Sundar C‘s Madha Gaga Raja and another untitled flick to be directed by Lingusamy.
The star is currently off to Bangkok where the final schedule of Samar will be shot before the team’s return.

Work on the Vishal-starrer Samar is progressing at a brisk pace. The unit has been to Bangkok for its next schedule. The film’s director, Thiru, said, ‘Vishal and I, along with a few other members of the unit, are in Bangkok now’.Trisha and Sunaina play heroines in the film, J D Chakravarthy, Manoj Bajpayee play key roles in the film.
The director added, ‘We intend to shoot the songs in Malaysia. The film is an action thriller. It is basically about a man whose life is thrown out of gear by a sudden incident and how he comes to terms with it.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored music for the film and the audio would be out soon. It may be recalled that Vishal and Thiru had worked together in Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai before.
