The first look of Isai has caught the attention of the movie buffs. The film is to be directed by SJ Surya with him in the lead role as well.
Interestingly, SJ Surya is also in-charge of the music of this film. With the title Isai giving an indication that it is a music-oriented film, we can certainly expect some chartbusters from this actor-director. Ace lyricist Vaali has penned the lyrics for this film.
Savithri, a newbie, will play SJ Surya’s arm candy in Isai. Prakash Raj, MS Bhaskar and Ganja Karuppu are also included in the star cast.
While Soundarajan will handle the camera, Anthony will take charge at the editing table. The shooting of this film will start from May 25th.

SJ Suryah wants AR Rahman -for a song
SJ Suryah will don the director cap once again through the forthcoming film titled ISAI which is a tamil- Telugu bilingual.
The project will see him directing,acting & he takes a new avatar as the music composer as well.
And for his new avataar as music director,the actor-director says he took the decision after being encouraged by Mozart of Madras, A R Rahman.
He was quoted sayingI was explaining the situation for a song in my Telugu film, Puli, when Rahman stopped me mid sentence and said, ‘You explain well and you have an ear for music. Why don’t you compose for your next?’ and that’s what made him to go ahead for composing the songs..
SJ Suryah has got himself trained where he learnt guitar, keys and vocals for his character in the film. Lyricist Vaali will be writing the lyrics, and he will soon record the songs with top singers..
He says that he will be playing the tracks for AR Rahman soon and it seems he had obliged AR Rahman to sing the introduction song.
newcomer Savithri will be playing the female lead..The shooting will begin next month, and will be shot extensively in Chennai, and deep forests in Kerala and Karnataka.

SJ Surya is currently busy with his next film Isai. This film is directed by him along with he playing the lead role and doing the music too. Debutant Savithri plays the lady lead opposite to him.
The majority of the film is being completed and to move towards climax a grand set having waterfall as its backdrop has been erected in the city.
The guess is that a song may be picturised in this set. SJ Surya in another audio function openly spoke how difficult it was for him to compose music tillhe gets the right one.
