Actor Dileep passed away yesterday at this hometown, Mysore. The actor entered the film industry in the year 1980 with Varumaiyin Niram Sivappu, which was directed by K Balachander.
Dileep was later seen in several films as one of the hero’s friends. Some of his most memorable roles were in Samsaram Adhu Minsaram, Thoongadhey Thambi Thoongadhey, Solla Thudikuthu Manasu and Valli.
The actor was living in Chennai but moved his base to his hometown some months ago following ill health, say sources. He was 52 years of age and was survived by wife Hema, son Maurya and daughter Bhavya.
