Director Chakri Toleti and producer Sunir Kheterpal are in Mumbai for the post production of their film Billa 2.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is also with them to complete the RR part of the film. The work of the film’s DI, sound design, VFX and editing are being carried out in a rapid pace. The makers are aiming to present the film to the censor board before 30th May, as Ajith will be flying to Mumbai this month end for his first schedule of Vishnuvardhan’s untitled project.
The film is expected to hit the screens either by 8th or by 15th June. The film’s trailer is also on the making and will be released a week before the film’s release.

Naan Ee to clash with Billa 2
Director SS Rajamouli‘s maiden Tamil venture Naan Ee ( being made in Telugu as Ee Ga simultaneously) was supposed to release on 30 May.
But it looks like the makers have decided to postpone the release by a week. In all probability, the movie may release on 8 June.
The heavy CG work involved is what is being quoted by SS Rajamouli as the cause of the delay.
Buzz is that Ajith starrer Billa 2 is also supposed to release around the same time. The former is a comical sci-fi thriller where a fly takes revenge on baddies while the latter is a prequel to Ajith‘s earlier hit Billa.
With IPL over by then, all eyes will be on at the box office. Lets wait and watch as to who goes on top and who finishes at the bottom.
Billa 2 in post-production works
Billa 2 is the forthcoming action thriller starring Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah as the female leads pairing opposite Ajith. Vidyuth Jamwal is playing baddie for Ajith in Billa 2, which is in the post-production works.
Chakri Toleti has helmed Billa 2 that is undergoing its post-production works in Mumbai. It is being reported that director Chakri Toleti and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja are working round the clock and busy with the re-recording works of Billa 2. Makers are planning to complete all the works and get the movie censored before May 31st.
Sunir Kheterpal is producing Billa 2 that has made wonders with its business even before the film was completely pictured, censored and released. Yuvan is busy with the final mix of the theatrical trailer that will be released a week before the movie will be screened.
Billa 2 was earlier slated to hit the screens on 1st of June that is postponed to 8th due to censor formalities and pre-production works.

The Don is back!!!
The sequel nay the prequel for Ajith’s Billa is all set to hit the screens. Titled Billa 2 it is produced by IN Entertainment (India) Limited (INE) along with Wide Angle Creations, the production house led by Suresh Balaje and George Pius. Directed by Chakri Toleti, who had earlier helmed the Kamal Haasan-Mohanlal starrer Unnaipol Oruvan (remake of A Wednesday), the movie stars Ajith as Billa, the don again.
Says sources, ‘Billa 2 as it is not a sequel to Billa but a prequel on how David became Billa. Chakri has given Billa 2 an interesting tag line: Every man has a past, every Don, a history’.
Billa 2 has been shot over 103 days across Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam, Goa, Mumbai, Kashid and Gerogia.
Speaking about the film, Chakri says, ‘The producers have left no stone unturned in ensuring that the film got all the crew support it required to accomplish the vision behind the final product’.
‘Billa II is my second film and I wanted it to be different in every respect. When we hit upon the idea of coming up with a prequel to Billa, I was happy as it would be an original story – Billa was inspired by Don in Hindi. It was fun to work with the talented artists and technicians of the film. This is a story about a man who opposes himself. A typical ‘Don’ film, the story has all the ingredients to succeed at the box office, he adds.
Yuvan Shankar Raja, who had also worked on the score of Billa, composed the soundtrack and score of Billa II, becoming his fifth project with Ajith. The album features six tracks, including one promotional video song.
A man who speaks less and wants his movies to do all talking, Ajith, says, ‘This is the first time a prequel to a popular film has been made in the Tamil film industry. I enjoyed playing the part of David Billa from a tender age. His transformation into a great don has to be seen to be believed. There are a number of noteworthy sequences in the film, but I enjoyed doing each and every scene.’
The Tamilnadu theatrical rights has been bought by Aascar Films and plans are on to release the movie this June.
