Power Star Pawan Kalyan will have the biggest opening ever in Chennai with his Gabbar Singh releasing in 15 screens. The film is a remake of the Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg and the Simbu starrer Osthi.
Pawan Kalyan will be essaying the role done by Salman Khan in the original and Shruti Hassan plays his arm candy. Directed by Harish Shankar, the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
The much popular item number in the original has also been included in this remake and the Gabbar Singh team has been lucky enough to rope in Malaika Arora, the Munni Badnam girl of Dabangg. It may be mentioned here that Mallika Sherawat had gyrated for the item number in Osthi.
Kota Srinivasa Rao, Abhimanyu Singh, Ajay, Suhasini Mani ratnam and Brahmanandam are also included in the star cast.
