Since Ajith birthday on May 1, a series of news is on the queue for Ajith. First it was informed that his next film with Vishnuvardhan will be kicked off this month end. This is exactly what the producer of this film AM Rathnam revealed. Recently AM Rathnam consecrated a shrine for Shridi Sai in Chennai which Thala visited and wished the producer.
Following this VV sneaked the news about the launch of the new film. While it is almost sure that Nayantara will be making a bigger role and Taapsee in the cast, other cast and crew are yet to be named along with the title for the film. Some sources claim that an addition has been made to the cast with the inclusion of Ashwin of Mangatha fame. It is said Ajith recommended this gutsy star to VV for a pivotal role.

Keeping this aside for a while, a buzz about the release of Billa-2 has come in the air. The audio is rocking among the listeners and the trailer hitting the theatres on par summer thunder. Sources close to the producers said the delay in the release of the movie was due to the ongoing IPL cricket series. This made the release possible in the third week of June.
However Ajith has another hitch at the time of this release. He along with Vishnuvardhan and the crew will be in Mumbai for the new film activities. So Ajith has preferred to conduct a press meet for the promotion of Billa-2.
This will be much akin to the one held for Saran’s Asal produced by Sivaji Films in 2010. The news sounds wonder as Ajith is much alien to such press meets and once in a blue moon that he faces the media. This is quite contrast to Vijay whose habit is to meet the media much at the time of the release of his every movie. So the media is sharpening the kits to attend this meet soon.

Ajith’s gratitude to his mentor!
Not many heroes have the tendency to reciprocate the good will received. So many findings of KBalachander – including Kamal, Rajni, Prakash Raj, Nasser, to quote a few -are still on the verge of extending their hands to him. On these lines, Thala Ajith came out with a gesture of making his gratitude to his director Selva. It was this Selva who introduced Ajith through Amaravathi some two decades ago.
Ajith seemed to have expressed his desire to do a film under Selva for which the director preferred the classic from KB – Ninaithale Inikkum. However it is to be seen whether this script would suit Ajith as the stardom created by Thala has been entirely different. Since Billa, Ajith has been promoting action packed stuff for his audience and hence this romantic thriller would be of second rated.
Selva came to the fore some years ago with KB’s Naan Avan Illai which brought cheers to the box office and the director. As Ajith committed his version, Selva may opt for suitable role and the remake of yesteryears. With Thala sketching his career in a different path, anything which comes under his scanner would be a feast to his fans.
Billa 2 release date is June 8! yes it is conformed…
Thala Ajith’s forthcoming ‘Billa 2′ is likely to release on June 8 as per industry insiders. However the release date will be officially announced only after the film is censored shortly.
It is said that a new trailer is being cut in Mumbai with trailer specialists and that it will be released at a grand function by the makers, Aascar Films, prior to the release. The digital teaser that released earlier was a massive hit especially among the Thala fans and went viral on networking pages.
The film that’s a prequel to blockbuster ‘Billa’ is directed by Chakri Toleti and has Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah in the lead roles with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It sees Vidyut Jamwal and Sudhanshu Pandey as the antagonists.
The film is red hot in trade with the rights have been sold for record prices.
