Vijay is one of the few artistes who gives his best in his films. In his forthcoming venture Thuppaki, the actor has given an all-round performance.
In an effort to showcase his singing skill, the actor has crooned a peppy song for the film. It is a party number Dance With Me, composed by Harris Jayaraj, and will bring back Vijay, the singer, after a seven-year gap after Sachein in which he sang Vaa di Vaa Di.
Playing an encounter specialist, the actor is trying his best to make a special action flick. Sources say that the actor has shed weight to fit his action- packed role. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Thuppaki has been filmed mostly in Mumbai.
The movie has Kajal Agarwal opposite Vijay.
Sonam Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra were being considered the role opposite Vijay in the Tamil version but finally it was Kajal Agarwal who bagged the role.

The highlight is that the major portion of the movie was shot in Mumbai and Vijay reportedly plays a tough cop in the film. Besides playing the lead role, Vijay has sung a peppy dance number in the movie. Also he cranked a particular chase scene in the film under the guidance of cinematographer Santosh Sivan.
Murugadoss has heaped laurels on Vijay and expressed confidence that Thuppaki will showcase Vijay in a different shade and his fans would love it a lot.
