No doubt Nanban was the first big blockbuster of the year. A remake of Hindi hit 3 Idiots, the movie directed by Shankar featured Vijay, Srikanth, Jeeva, Ileana, Sathyaraj and Sathyan in key roles. Music was by Harris Jeyaraj.
With the movie slated to be aired for the first time on small screen on 1 May in Vijay TV, the channel organised a grand event to celebrate the success recently.
Shankar and Vijay attended the event and entertained and enthralled the audience. Mementoes were given to the cast and crew of the movie.
Vijay did the role enacted by Aamir Khan in the original. Shankar was all praise for Vijay on the occasion.
