Cannes International Film Festival happens to be one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. This year’s CIFF will begin as usual at Cannes, France on May 16th and go on till May 27th. What makes the CIFF so special to Kollywood this year is that Muppozhudhum un Karpanaigal has been selected to be screened at the Filmmakers’ Network Special Section.
The film’s director-producer Elred Kumar has been invited for this film festival. The film, which has Adharva and Amala Paul, will be showcased on May 22nd, 2012. Happy to have made it to the Cannes, Elred Kumar has said that he is extremely happy for this honor.
It may be mentioned here that though Elred Kumar started out as the producer of Muppozhudhum un Karpanaigal, fate involved him directing the film as well and now he is basking in glory over the huge worldwide recognition. Incidentally, Elred Kumar is the producer of hit films Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya and Ko.
