Archana Kavi, who shot to fame with Malayalam film Neelathamara, is happy about the response for her role in recent-release Aravaan.
She is is now playing the role of a commercial sex worker in Saroja, an offbeat film being directed by Anjali Shukla.
She says, ‘The film is about four different women and I play one of them. It’s titled after my character, a strong-willed person. For the film, we had to actually shoot at Budhwar Peth, a red light area in Pune, and I actually met sex workers there.’
She adds, The film does not have any intimate scenes and will showcase the strength of women.
