These are changing times, it can be said. From a period when there was a clamour to cast Bollywood stars in films down South, especially Tamil. The tide has turned, so to say as Southern actors are sought-after in the Hindi film industry these days.
A beeline of actresses including Asin, Anushka, Tamanna, Kajal Agarwal and Sruti Hassan have featured in Hindi films, that too opposite the biggest of stars including Aamir Khan and Salman Khan.
Add Ileana to that list as she has bagged a role in the much-expected ‘Barfee‘ and is also being considered for a few more films. The ‘Nanban‘ girl is sure going places.
On the other hand, Kajal Agarwal, who has acted opposite Kollywood’s big boys including Surya and Karthi, featured in the Hindi ‘Singham‘ which made waves and is sure to bag more roles. There is also buzz that she has been picked to act opposite Akshay Kumar in one of his upcoming projects.
It is also being said that ‘Aadukalam‘-lass Tapsee is headed for Bollywood and is acting in ‘Chasme Badoor‘.
So, it seems it is a good time to be a Southern star and they seem to be cashing in on, rather happily.
