Director AL Vijay makes sure that his promotional pictures just speak a lot than the verbal publicity. Right from his maiden debut ‘Kireedom’, it has been a regular ritual of this director to bring out some catchy pictures.
Following the critical success of Deiva Thirumagal, AL Vijay-Vikram-UTV Motion Pictures come together again for Thandavam that has already completed the first schedule and is now flying down to USA for next leg of shooting.
Well, it’s been a long time we saw Vikram in such a scintillating look and it’s obvious that Chiyaan fans are gonna have a big bash.
Get ready for the magic
After setting the screen on fire with Deiva Thirumagal, actor Vikram and director AL Vijay come together again for Thandavam.
The movie besides Vikram stars Anushka, Amy Jackson and Jagapathy Babu in the lead and the latest addition to the team is Lakshmi Rai of Kanchana fame. Interestingly Lakshmi Rai plays a power-packed role in Thandavam.
The shooting is currently progressing at brisk pace in London. Interestingly the first schedule of the mega movie took place in Delhi where scenes involving Vikram and Anushka were shot.
Being made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously, the movie reportedly features Vikram in dual role. GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer, while Nirav Shah is handling the camera.
The highlight of the movie is that Santhanam, the sought-after comedian in Tamil cinema plays a key role. Buzz is that he plays a illegal immigrant in London, who runs a cab.
Amy Jackson who romances Vikram in the movie also does some daredevil stunt sequences. She has reportedly done a scene that required her to dive from a high building using a parachute. The Madrasapattinam actress, who is a certified sky diver, looks to advance her experience in diving with such action sequences.
With all work going at hectic pace, Thandavam is all set for a release very soon.

Director AL Vijay was shocked when Anushka took the broomstick on hands to clean the mess they had created while shooting a scene for Thandavam. The fireworks scene was shot in London and as per the rules there, those responsible for the mess should clean it up. With no one to do the job, Anushka took a broomstick and cleaned the place herself.
Vikram immediately chipped in to collect the trash in a can to dispose it off. AL Vijay was thoroughly shocked by the gesture of his lead stars.
It may be mentioned here that Vijay did not have a professional photographer to shoot the stills of the foreigners who were roped in for some roles in Thandavam and did it all by himself.
