‘Maatran‘ is the film that Surya is currently doing and the film’s shoot is progressing well. Here, we provide you some latest information about the film.
The shoot of the film is 85% complete and the makers are planning to release the film in May – June this year. The film is also released in Telugu as a dubbed version. Surya is going to dub with his own voice. And, the title ‘Duplicate‘ is a tentative title only, says unit members.
The music composer for the film Harris Jayaraj has already composed 4 songs for the film and working on the fifth one now. K.V Anand shot a sequence involving Surya and Kajal Agarwal and 20 Russian dancers for the song ‘Kaal Mulaitha Poove…‘
Stunt choreographer Peter Hein has brought 10 fighters from France to shoot a high-voltage action sequence in a set erected at Hyderabad.
Surya plays two different roles in this espionage-thriller film. Writer Subha, along with K.V Anand, has written the story.
The unit started the shoot in December last year in India and went to Baltic and Balkan states. They were also in the US last month. Currently, they are shooting in Hyderabad.
The film features, along with Surya, Kajal Agarwal, Sachin Kandekar, Vivek, Milind Soman, Daniel Balaji and Tamanna in a guest role.
Camera is handled by S Sounderrajan and editing by Anthony. AGS Entertainment is producing the film.

The Surya starrer Maatraan is the most expected movie of the year being the second outing of the success combo which gave the superhit Ayan.
