The highly anticipated Ajith starrer, Billa 2‘s promos are likely to come out soon.
Sources close to the production house say that the stills from the film can be expected to be out by the first half of this month, while the music along with trailer will be released in the latter half.
The same source also rejected the rumours on Nayantara‘s cameo appearance in the movie.
Billa 2, directed by Chakri Toleti, stars Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah and Vidyut Jamwal in leading roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for this installment of Billa as well.
Sun TV bags Billa 2 rights?
The latest buzz in Kollywood that Sun TV, owned by Kalanithi Maran, has bagged the satellite rights of Ajith‘s Billa 2 for a whopping price. Billa 2, directed by Chakri Toleti, is likely to hit screens on Ajith‘s birthday (May 1, 2012). Model-actress Parvathy Omanakkuttan, who was crowned Miss India World in 2008 and Bruna Abdullah are the leading ladies.
The film is a prequel to Billa and will narrate the story of David Billa. Also in the star cast are Vidyut Jamwal, Prabhu, Rahman, Sudhanshu Pandey, Manoj K. Jayan, Krishna Kumar, Yog Japee, Sriman and Sricharan. The film is produced jointly by Wide Angle Creations and IN Entertainment.
Nayantara not in Billa 2?
Actress Nayantara, who played the female lead in Billa, was expected to play a cameo in its prequel Billa 2, starring Ajith, but according to latest reports, the actress has rejected the role.
Notably, Nayantara shares a good rapport with Ajith and their earlier film Billa was a milestone in their careers. These factors seemed to prompted the actress to accept the cameo initially, but the reason behind her change of mind is unknown.
Billa 2, written and directed by Chakri Toleti, stars Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Prabhu, Rahman and Krishnakumar in the cast. The shooting is almost complete. The film will be dubbed and released in Telugu as well.
Billa 2 release postponed further
Here is the latest on summer of 2012′s hottest release, Ajith‘s Billa 2. The film was originally planned to release on April 13, as a Tamil New Year special.
Then, the producer postponed the release to April 27 to coincide with Thala’s birthday on May 1.
But the strike in the Industry has delayed the shoot of the film. Producer Sunir Kheterpal realised that he was behind schedule as post production is bound to take time.
Now, the latest we hear is that Sunir himself has tweeted that release would be delayed and pushed the release to second half of May 2012.
The soundtrack and the trailer will take be released between April 15 to 25.
Billa 2 dubbed in Telugu
Upcoming Tamil gangster thriller Billa 2, being directed by Chakri Toleti as a prequel to 2007 super hit Billa, will be dubbed in Telugu.
Notably, the previous version of Billa 2 was remade in Telugu with Prabhas in the lead and this time, the makers are planning to dub it in Telugu, instead of selling off the remake rights to a Telugu producer.
One of the costliest movies in Tamil cinema, Billa 2 has Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah in the lead. Yuvan Shankar Raja is handling the music. The film is set for release in May. The shooting is almost complete.
Ajith is a good samaratarian!
There is no doubt that Thala Ajith is a good and humble human being. Now it looks like he is all set to take it to the next level. Reportedly the actor is all set to start a a non-governmental organization to help the needy. Interestingly the actor recently disbanded his fan’s club, which has been involved in many such causes. However nothing has been finalised on this from and an official announcement is expected on the star’s birthday (May 1).
Meanwhile the actor is currently awaiting the release of Billa 2 directed by Chakri Toleti.
