This is going to be a shocking surprise for Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan fans. Earlier in 1998 it was Kamal Hassan who was signed to do Robot (Endhiran: The Robot) but it was kept aside for technical reasons.
Later in 2011 Rajnikanth acted and it turned out to be blockbuster of the year. But even after that Shankar was keen on making a sequel adds sources but since it requires more strain Rajnikanth wouldn’t be preferred for health reasons.
But with Kamal Hassan it can be possible, also there are possibilities of Rajnikanth to act in Indian sequel. Since Indian story was made keeping the Superstar Rajnikanth in mind adds sources.
Seems like director Shankar is going for sequels on the lines of Hollywood films.
Not many of the film buffs were aware of the fact that Shankar had planned the sic-fi flick ‘Robot’ way back in 1998 with Kamal Hassan and Preity Zinta in the lead. After shooting some portions of the movie, Producer had put the project on hold due to financial crisis and the shoot never resumed.
In 2010, the same script which was said to be Shankar‘s dream got revived with Rajnikanth giving his nod for the biggest budgeted film down South.
