How often we see short films made into a full-length feature film? Kadhalil Sodhapuvadu Eppadi can be regarded as one of the best illustrations. Balaji Mohan had all elements that were applicable for transforming it into a full length feature. The first look teasers have grabbed everyone’s eyeballs and we can expect a fresh peppy romantic love story for this Valentine’s Day. Siddarth and Thamman share a good rapport from the time they worked together in Boys. The album has five tracks in different style and Thamman has tried working in retro style.
1. Parvathi Parvathi

Remember the song ‘Viswanathan Velai Vendum’ from the film Kadhalikka Neramillai. Thamman has picked the retro style and has composed this track. Siddarth has crooned the song and the beats are so peppy. Parvathi Parvathi is a song about a lad’s lamentation about his girl, who has rejected after being in love with him. The song has already picked everyone’s attention with the teasers.
2. Azhaipaaya Azhaipaaya
Vocals: Karthik, Harini
Lyrics: Madhan Karky
Here arrives the melodious treat from the combination of best singers Karthik and Harini. Madhan Karky has done good job over penning lyrics. The visuals should add more intensity to the song. There is another reprise version and it doesn’t sound anywhere different, but has the rendition by Karthik alone. Overall, it’s a beautiful melody that has best singers and beautiful lyrics.
3. Aananda Jaladosam

Lyrics: Madhan Karky
Again, we have a retro styled song that goes very much blatant with the distinctive style of composition. The song has already gained its peak through the teasers. The song is about the happy feelings and excitements of everyone in love.
4. Thavarugal Unargirom
Vocals: Thamman
Lyrics: Madhan Karky
Thamman keeps rendering almost all the song in a same way. The beats and composition slightly resemble a track from Inidhu Inidhu. It sounds like the song appears during penultimate sequence of the movie. The sound mixing has been done with a special panache.
On the whole, ‘Kadhalil Sodhapuvadu Yeppadi’ has songs that completely suit the theme of film. It’s a feel-good love story laced with humor and sentiments. Thamman has given his best efforts to make the film colorful through his music.
Verdict: Sweet and Melodious in parts.
