The stills of Ilayathalapathy Vijay‘s next film Thuppaki are released over internet. The film Thuppaki is directed by A.R Murugadoss. Director A.R Murugadoss is also the writer of the film Thuppaki.

Film Thuppaki is an action thriller Tamil film and Vijay is playing the lead role. Actor Vijay is paired up with actress Kajal Agarwal.

Actor Vijay will be playing the role of an encounter specialist in Thuppaki. Thuppaki is a Tamil word meaning A Gun.

The soundtrack and background score are composed by Harris Jayaraj. Santosh Sivan was the man behind the cinematography of the film.

All the numbers that he crooned became super hits in past and he is sure to repeat the history again with this number. It is reported that the Vijay has done a party number which impressed the composer to the core.

It is big news for ‘Ilayathalapathy’ fans! Yes, Vijay is crooning a song for his upcoming film ‘Thuppaki‘.

It is the film’s music director, Harris Jayaraj, who requested Vijay to sing this song, the actor instantly said, “Yes!” When quizzed about the song Harris Jayaraj said, “Yes, Vijay is singing this song. When I composed this song I felt Vijay‘s voice would suit the best. He was approached and to my surprise he immediately agreed to sing. And, we are going to record this party song soon.”

‘Thuppaki‘ is reported to have resumed its second schedule of shoot in Mumbai with Vijay‘s major portions are planned to be canned.

Director A.R Murugadoss also gave a break when the entire industry went stand still because of the ongoing strike by the FEFSI workers.

‘Thuppaki‘ features Vijay as a cop, an encounter specialist. Kajal Agarwal plays the heroine.

Sources say that A.R Murugadoss is impatient to begin the shooting of Thuppaki. The FEFSI strike has impeded this film’s progress for the past one month or so.

Not only Thuppaki but several other films are stalled due to this strike.

Having waited long enough, A.R Murugadoss has decided to commence the shooting in Mumbai. The director hopes that the FEFSI strike would have such a big impact in Mumbai. But sources that FEFSI workers throughout India will not extend their support and the only option for Vijay and A.R Murugadoss is to shot abroad.
