Actress Asin played the female lead in Tamil hit Varalaru that featured Ajith in the lead role. The latest buzz is that the movie is being remade in Kannada with Upendra playing the hero. Interestingly Bhumika Chawla, a popular name in Tamil and Telugu film industries has been roped into do the role played by Asin in Tamil original.
The Kannada version will have music by A.R Rahman himself. Cinematography is by P C Sreeram. A major portion of the movie is completed and a song sequences featuring Upendra and Bhumika was shot recently.
