Actress Kajal Agarwal has strongly reiterated that she is not likely to get married in the near future as she has ‘miles to go’ before being spoken about as an actress with ‘substance’ in both Tamil and Telugu film industries.
After debuting as heroine in Tamil with veteran director Bharathiraaja’s Bommalattam a few years back, she starred as Bharath’s heroine in Pazhani and opposite Vinay Rai in Modhi Vilaiyaadu. However, it was the Karthi-starrer Naan Mahaan Alla and the super-duper hit Mahadheera which endeared her to Tamil viewers. She now has two plum projects in Tamil even as hopes to get a firm foothold in Kollywood.

Kajal Agarwal plays Vijay’s heroine in A.R Murugadoss’ upcoming directorial venture titled Thupakki. She is also the heroine opposite Surya in K.V Anand’s Maatraan. As both are big-budget films opposite frontline heroes directed by leading directors, it is predicted that 2012 might very well turn out to be Kajal Agarwal’s year in Tamil films. Even her latest release in Telugu (Businessman) opposite Mahesh Babu is said to be doing very well.
Talking to reporters recently, she defended her lip-lock with Mahesh Babu for Businessman saying it was filmed in an ‘aesthetic’ manner sans any vulgarity. She said she isn’t in the industry to seek ‘cheap publicity’ by posing nude for magazine covers. “I have opposed my ‘morphed’ photograph which appeared in FHM magazine and has said many times that it wasn’t my original picture.
“I want to concentrate in my career and would love to earn the name of a ‘good actress’. I share nothing but a professional relationship with Prabhas. Shouldn’t two unmarried persons have a normal relationship? My marriage is far away and I just don’t have the time to think about it at this very moment. I’m enjoying my career and let me continue in this fashion for some more years,” she concludes.
