Actress Sunaina has been away for quit some time now as far as her presence in Tamil films are concerned. The curvaceous actress debuted as Nakul’s heroine in the successful Kaadhalil Vizhundhaen and followed it up with another hit in Maasilamani. Despite her facial beauty and an hourglass figure, she didn’t become a ‘hot property’ in Kollywood due to some wrong choice of films.

Her last release in Tamil was Vamsam, which marked the debut of Kalaignar’s grandson Arulnidhi in the year 2010. The Arulnidhi-Sunaina starrer was directed by Pandiraj of Pasanga fame and featured Sunaina in a deglamourized village belle’s role. She was appreciated for her performance in the film. She now has a couple of films on hand, one of them opposite Vishal.
Speaking to journos recently, Sunaina said “After playing rural and urban characters, I’d be attempting comedy in my coming film Mikeset Pandi which has Sabareesh as the hero. The film is directed by Rasu Mathuravan, known for his village-based films. However, I play a modern girl in the film and have tried my hand in many comic sequences.
“This is the first time I’m playing such a character in my career. It’s an entirely new experience for me. The film also has known and successful comedians in the form of Karunas, Thambi Ramaiyah, Singampuli, Suri, M.S Bhaskar and Vaiyapuri. The shooting spots are very enjoyable. The director has devised a ‘separate Jeep’ which plays a major role in the film,” she said.
The film’s shooting has been going on in and around Dindigul district with a local industrialist promising the crew to ‘purchase’ the jeep from them after the film’s shoot is completed.
Readers may recall that Sabareesh debuted as hero in last year’s Markandeyan.
