After directing the National Award winning film Aadukalam, Vetrimaran will be directing a film titled Vada Chennai. This film has Simbu in the lead role.
Apart from Simbu, the Telugu popular hero Rana Daggubati and Andrea are also the parts of this film. So far the heroine of this film was not finalized. Now Vetrimaran has signed Divya Spandana for the female lead role in Vada Chennai.
Divya Spandana is not new to Vetrimaran because he had already worked with her in the film Polladhavan which had Dhanush in the lead role and moreover she has paired with Simbu in the film Kuthu. The shooting of the film is to commence in a couple of days. This film shows the dark side of Chennai.
