A.R Rahman is now facing the wrath of few section of Tamils for expressing his ebst wishes to music composer Ousepachan, whose songs in the controversial movie Dam 999 have managed to gain entry in the Oscar Awards selection list.
The movie has been banned in Tamilnadu as it dwells about the vexatious Mullaiperiyar dam row between Tamilnadu and Kerala.
Says AR Rahman, ‘ I just wished a colleague in the industry all the best. I don’t know the political sensitivities behind the issue as I was busy working in a Hollywod project for last three weeks’.
Rahman extending his Christmas and New year greetings for all his fans said, ‘ I just read papers to know about the dam issue. I toe Dr Abdul Kalam’s line in this issue. I sincerely pray that peace prevails and a solution is arrived between two States after talks’.
