Actress Amala Paul is not amused by the many rumours that had been floating in the industry about her. The actress had a solitary release in Vikram’s Deiva thirumagal early this year and came for lot of appreciation in a role which, though not a big one, but was pivotal to the movie’s script.

She was in the news a few months back when she was signed up as Dhanush’s heroine in the upcoming film 3 directed by debutant Aishwarya, wife of actor Dhanush. Even before the shooting was to commence, it was announced that Amala Paul had ‘walked out’ of the project and that Shruti Hassan had stepped into her shoes as the heroine opposite Dhanush.
“Rumours spread by vested interests continue to float in the industry about me; I have opened my Twitter account so that I’m able to give appropriate replies to those rumours. I didn’t quit 3 but had to back out due to call-sheet problems; I didn’t have free dates on the dates when Aishwarya wanted to get rolling. I listened to the Kolaveri song by Dhanush in the film. One can’t but appreciate Dhanush’s hard-work.
“My only regret is that I haven’t been able to be a part of this film. Fortunately, the films which I signed after walking out of 3 have all been very good scripts. The rumour that I ‘insulted’ Telugu superstar Nagarjuna during the break in the shooting of my debut film in Telugu is totally wrong. Till date, I haven’t had the opportunity to meet Nagarjuna.
“I don’t know why so many untrue things are written about me. Now that I have opened my Twitter account, I hope to answer all those rumours as soon as possible,” says Amala.
