South India’s leading actress-singer Mamta Mohandas‘ engagement date fixed. She is getting engaged on November 11 to her Bahrain based childhood friend and a distant relative in Kochi.
The wedding will take place next year, after Mamta completes her pending projects.
The actress is currently doing two Malayalam films, starring Jayaram and Mammootty in the lead respectively. She is also the heroine in Arun Vijay’s Tamil film Thadaiyra Thakka.

Mamta Mohandas has been selected for an award called the vocational excellence award by the Rotary Club of Cochin Knights.
Mamta Mohandas was who is also a singer has been selected for the honour for being a “young achiever in the competitive film Industry through her sheer determination, willpower and new generation skills.”
Excited about the award Mamta said, “It is a great honour. This gives me more responsibility that I should strive hard for the betterment of the society by reaching out to the needy. I will live up to the award by committing myself towards more meaningful things.”
Mamta Mohandas celebrated her birthday recently with 300 specially-abled children. Regarding her fight with Hodgkin’s lymphoma Mamta said, “God needs to choose one to become special and my victory over the disease was the biggest door that opened to reveal the true value of the, air I breathe and the light”.

Mamta Mohandas got engaged to her childhood friend Pregith Padmanabhan at a ceremony attended by close family and friends.
The wedding will take place on Dec 28th. The engagement took place at the groom’s home near Kochi with the groom’s twin sisters also flying in for the event.
The wedding will be held at a Calicut resort, with a media reception to be held later. Here is wishing the young couple all the best!
