Is Vimala Raman acting in Karikalan?

It was said that Vimala Raman, the ‘Raman Thediya Seethai’ and ‘Poi’ girl will be seen playing a crucial role in Vikram-starrer ‘Karikalan’.

But reports have come otherwise that Vimala Raman is not part of the project. Vimala Raman is an actress, model and a Bharatnatyam dancer too. She is now eagerly looking forward for the release of her international project ‘Dam 999′ in which Vimala Raman has played a crucial role.

Meanwhile ‘Karikalan’ unit is busy shooting the period movie. A mammoth set has been erected with a state-of-the-art technology. A couple of towns have been erected to shoot some of the crucial scenes, said director Kannan.

A few heroines Zareen Khan, Mithra Kurein and Radhika are acting in the film. Anjali has been recently roped in for a crucial role. She plays a warrior and also the leader of a particular set of people.
