Bollywood’s light-eyed beauty Aishwarya Rai, who was admitted to Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai on Monday for the birth of her firstborn, has finally delivered a baby girl on Wednesday.
Abhishek Bachchan broke the news to the world on Twitter as he tweeted: ‘IT’S A GIRL!!!!!! ))))’. While grandfather Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “T 561 – I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl !”

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan today expressed his joy and elation over daughter-in-law Aishwarya giving birth to a baby girl.
“I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl !! Dadaji… ecstatic!!!!,” the actor said on twitter, soon after Aishwarya gave birth to a baby girl in a hospital in Mumbai this morning.
“A dada ji (a grandfather)…Ecstatic!”, he said.
Earlier, writing on Twitter, Abhishek said, “IT’S A GIRL!.” He, however, did not give any further details.
Congratulatory messages poured in from Bollywood as soon as the news was out.
Writing on Twitter, Bollywood actress Bipasha basu said,”OMG, excited Baby B is Daddy to a lil Angel! Congrats Ash n @junior Bachchan n to d entire family!Welcome sweet baby girl:)”.
Congratulating the Bachchan couple, Genelia D’Souza said, “congraattttsss Abhishek, I’m soooo excited pls give ash a biggg hugg, can’t wait 2c d lil angel.” Posting on Twitter, filmmaker and close family friend of the Bachchans Karan Johar said, “Congratulations!! Baby B had a baby girl!! . All the love and happiness…am sure she will be the prettiest girl ever!!!”.
Actress Celina Jaitly also congratulated the couple.
“Congratulations to u, jayaji aishwarya and proud daddy abhisheik and nani n nana :) Very happy for the Bachchan family..
They have a little angel fairy amidst them .. She is gonna be gorgeous :),” Celina posted on Twitter.
Giving his congratulations, Boman Irani said,”OHHHH MAAAARAAAAA BAAAAAAP!!!!! Overjoyed my darlings!!!!!! .” Aiswarya Rai Bachchan was on Monday admitted to the Seven Hills hospital on Monday night.
In a post on Twitter yesterday, the senior Bachchan had said,” A day of expectation….but another day! The lord has his way and they are most special….we wait!!.”
