Rising Superstar Vijay landed in Bangalore where he got a super welcome on Saturday to launch the trailer of his next big release ‘Velayudham’.

Vijay also attended the inaugural ceremony of a leading jewellery store Joy Alukkas of which he is the brand ambassador. Vijay addressing thousands of his fans at a cinema hall, where two trailers of the film were screened, Vijay said: “I have been here on many occasions and also attended the launch of Kannada film ‘Jogayya’, which was my friend Shivaraj Kumar’s hundredth film. I am very fond of my fans in Karnataka” he said.
Thanking his he further said, ‘The way I was received here was exactly the way I am received in the theatres in Tamil Nadu. And I must say that right from my first film, I have received tremendous support from the audience here. It’s a great moment”.
Vijay expressed confidence since that Velayutham’s music has been accepted well the film also will be accepted in a big way. Vijay revealed that Velayudham was a special film for me. Velayutham focuses on issues besides being packaged with lot of commercial elements.
Velayudham is an upcoming Tamil superhero film[4] directed by Jayam Raja. It stars Vijay, Hansika Motwani and Genelia lead roles. The film was formally launched on July 15, 2010 with its photo shoots taken earlier during the month. Produced by V. Ravichandran‘s Aascar Films, the film is to be released on October 26, 2011. The story revolves around an ordinary milkman, trying to eradicate corruption.
Velayudham in 38 screens in Chennai
Vijay’s Velayudham will be screened in 38 screens all over Chennai.
Velayutham has created lot of expectations and the report that it has got 38 screens in the city has the star’s fans in a frenzy mood.
Velayudham releases on 26 October on Dewali. The film is expected to be a visual treat to all Vijay fans worldwide. Genelia and Hansika Motwani share the screen space with Vijay in this film. Jayam Raja has directed the film.
