Mankatha has been declared a blockbuster and fans are celebrating. The second week collections will be known tomorrow. All these have made the fans, media and the crew wonder, if there would be any sequel to Mankatha like there is to Billa.
Venkat Prabhu has also expressed that he would be fond of making Mankatha 2, if Ajith gave his nod. The director also said that Premgi Ameran would be Ajith’s brother in the sequel who goes searching for him, as he goes to Thailand.
Arjun has also expressed his willingness to act in the sequel. He wants Venkat Prabhu to narrate the events that would unfold after the climax of the last one on how both Arjun and Ajith used the money. Both Venkat Prabhu and Arjun are willing to make a sequel. Looks like Ajith may or may not be interested.

Mankatha-2 to go on floors after Billa-2
This may not be the title, but the Magic of Mankatha has made the duo Ajith Kumar and Venkat Prabhu as Mankatha team. After completing the shooting of Billa-2, Ajith Kumar will join hands with Venkat Prabhu for another film. The film is yet to be titled and the producer of the film is A.M. Rathnam of Sri Surya Movies.
The film Mankatha has become a blockbuster now and is doing a good business in box office now. The collections till the date have tremendous and this has urged Ajith Kumar to work with him.
Whether it is a solo hero or multi-hero project , it is yet to be confirmed.
Venkat Prabhu says that Mankatha 2 Is Just an Idea
Mankatha is now the talk of the town. None of the other Ajith’s film had such a gripping success. This kind of things happens only for Rajnikanth films. Mankatha records have out beaten the records of Rajnikanth films not only in India but also abroad.
Now there is news that seeing the success of this film Mankatha, Venkat Prabhu has planned to script Mankatha 2 which will also have Ajith in the lead role and there is also buzz that Simbhu and Jai might share the screen with Ajith. But when asked Venkat Prabhu about this, he says that he has an idea of making Part 2of this film since the Mankatha was a big hit because of Ajith’s acting.
