Actor Surya’s upcoming film ‘7am Arivu’ is likely to clash with Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ on Deepavali. The two stars, who starred together in films like ‘Friends’ more than a decade back, are all set to vie with each other for garnering the public’s attention on 26th October this year.
While ‘Velayudham’ has Genelia and Hansika Motwani opposite Vijay and has been directed by ‘remake’ king ‘Jayam’ Raja, Surya’s ‘7am Arivu’ has been directed by the diminutive A.R Murugadoss and pits the debutant Shruti Hassan opposite Surya. ‘Velayudham’ is said to be a wholesome commercial entertainer whereas ‘7am Arivu’ would be a never-before kind of film in Tamil cinema.
Surya plays the triple roles of a scientist, a Buddhist Monk and a Circus artiste in the film which has been set in various periods of time. The talented and pretty Shruti Hassan would also be making her much-awaited debut in this film as a heroine. With her looks and grace, she would surely be luring the Tamil youths in the days to come, predict observers.
The audio launch of ‘7am Arivu’ has been scheduled to be held at the Chennai Trade Center on the 22nd September, at 6.00 PM. It’d be a grand ceremony attended by the bigwigs of the Tamil film industry. The producer, Udhayanidhi Stalin, has promised some high voltage performances during the event.

In an apparent bid to put an end to the guesses on the audio launch of 7am Arivu, a film which is bringing together once again the suriya-A R Murugadoss duo, producers Red Giant Movies have issued a statement.
‘The most awaited and expected audio launch of the film 7am Arivu is going to take place on 22 September at Chennai Trade Centre from 6 pm onwards,’ said the statement.
The statement further said the event will be studded by the presence of legends and successful celebrities who created a history in Tamil cinema.
‘Along with the audio launch some scintillating and fascinating programmes are happening on the occasion. The film 7aam Arivu is going to be a Diwali treat to Tamil cinema audience,’ the release added.
Directed by A.R Murugadoss, this sci-fi thriller has Shruthi Haasan as heroine. Music is by Harris Jayaraj.
