Director Shankar’s upcoming film ‘Nanban’ might get delayed in its completion, it is learnt. Shankar has his own knack of planning things meticulously and more often than not, he completes and releases all his films in time. ‘Nanban’, though, might get delayed as its heroine Ileana D’Cruz has been diagnosed to be suffering from fracture in the leg.
Ileana plays Vijay’s heroine in the film, a remake of the Hindi hit ‘3 Idiots’ which had Aamir Khan in the lead. The actress, who debuted way back in Tamil films with ‘Kedi’, moved to Tollywood after the film’s no-show and is coming back to Kollywood after a break of six years. She was practicing some dance steps during the shooting with her choreographer.
Even as Ileana was being tutored by noted Bollywood dance choreographer Farah Khan, she tripped and fell down in an unexpected manner. Ileana writhed in pain and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors diagnosed her to be sufferingfrom a fracture.
She has been advised to rest at least for ‘3 weeks’ following which she left for Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Shankar is going ahead with the shoot with other artistes. The film also stars Jeeva, Srikanth, Anuya and SJ Suriyah.
