Kollywood had got through several releases in the past few weeks and with most of them turning to be commendable shows, the reception has been incredible that includes ‘Mankatha’, ‘Engeyum Eppothum’ and ‘Vandhan Vendran’. With lots of releases lined up for next Friday including Sun Pictures’ ‘Vedi’ and Cheran-Prasanna starrer ‘Muran’ and many more flicks, this Friday was quite a break for the distributors and producers.

Except ‘Aayiram Vizhakku’, there hadn’t been any other releases and it turned to be a favorable scenario for the movies from other regions. Mahesh Babu’s ‘Dookudu’ took a grand leap of opening as the actor has huge fans following him in Chennai. Shahid Kapoor-Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Mausam’ has been keeping everyone hooked upon the film.
But its Hollywood movie ‘Zoo Keeper’ starring Kevin James has taken a big opening for its humorous theme. The trade analysts have predicted that the film will surely cross longer weeks in Chennai for it caters to the tastes of universal audiences.
A little disappointment for the Tamil buffs was ‘Aayiram Vizhakku’ that it didn’t work out well with any group of audiences.
