Anjali, who played the female lead in Vasantha Balan‘s Angadi Theru, has done a cameo in her mentor’s Aravan.
Anjali holds director Vasanta balan in high esteem as it was only after acting in his Angadi Theru that she shot to limelight. Now, sources close to the unit of the film disclose that the actress has done a small role in Aravan, which is a period film.
Sources say Anjali plays Bharath‘s pair in the film. The film stars Aadhi, Pasupathi, Dhansikaa, Archana Kavi and actor Bharath apart from Anjali.
The movie is loosely based on a small incident that comes in the novel, Kaval Kottam.

‘Aravaan’ is based on a chapter from a novel, Kaval Kottam that focuses on the history of Madurai. Having pulled off good performance in Ajith’s ‘Mankatha’ and her current release ‘Engaeyum Eppothum’ and appearing shortly again through a cameo in another biggie, Anjali is definitely here to stay!
