Actor Ajith has remarked that the Tamil Nadu chief minister treated him with lot of affection and reminded him of his own mother in terms of her kind words and attitude. In a recent interview to a leading regional magazine, Ajith has spoke at length about various matters and had shared with the readers some ‘touching’ moments in his life.
Recalling his meeting with Amma, Ajith said, “Once I had been to Amma’s Poes Garden residence in Chennai along with my wife Shalini. The way she received us and spoke to me in a very kind manner stumped me….her motherly affection was something that could only be felt and can’t be expressed fully in words…she was very kind, affectionate and understanding.”

Queried whether he faced the wrath of the rulers of the day (read: Kalaignar) when he spoke openly against the attitude of FEFSI in the presence of Kalaignar early last year, Ajith said that he had always ‘spoken out’ his mind and never feared about what others might think. “I believe in democratic values and always respect political leaders. It won’t, however, come in the way of my speaking the truth whenever I get the opportunity.
“I shall never forget Kalaignar’s blessings at my marriage. I’m forty-plus now and not sure how long I’d be around (in this world…). It is said that the success of a man’s life is reflected at the crowds which gather at his funeral; in that way, I’m sure I’d draw a lot of crowd,” said Ajith in a lighter vein.
