A.R Murugadoss is more tensed about the release of his own production Engeyum Eppodhum than his directorial venture with Surya 7am Arivu!
Engeyum Eppodhum is produced by A.R Murugadoss under his ARM production banner in association with Fox Star Studios.
The film is written and directed by his assistant Saravanan. It has Jai, Anjali, Ananya and Sharvanand in the lead roles, and music is by little known C Sathya who debuted with Sevarkodi.
Engeyum Eppodhum was launched with a lot of fanfare and is said to be a romantic musical about two love stories which will join in the climax of the film.
The film is complete and its audio launch is happening this week at a popular multiplex.
A lot is riding for A.R Murugadoss on Engeyum Eppodhum. It is the beginning of his relationship with Fox Star Studios, who is venturing into Tamil films for the first time.
If the music and film clicks Fox Star will have a fruitful relationship with A.R Murugadoss, who is looking for a producer to fund his next mega project with Ilayathalapathy Vijay.

Saravanan directed film ‘Engeyum Eppodhum‘ is all set to hit theaters panning the state in just a couple of days. This will be Saravanan‘s first venture as director. This will also be the first film which is being jointly produced by Fox Star Studios in South India in association with A.R Murugadoss‘ home productions. Then again, this will be the latter’s first step into production side.
‘Engeyum Eppodhum‘ focuses on two couples Jai and Anjali, and Shravanand and Ananya. Jai will be loved by the young female population once the film hits theaters, and will showcase him in an important portrayal since ‘Subramaniyapuram‘ reveal sources that are closely associated with the film. Jai is the hero and has also handled comedy very effectively, reveal insiders. As far as Anjali‘s role is considered, her character is touted to garner more recognition than her role in Vasantha Balan‘s ‘Angadi theru‘.
Apart from a fresh and youthful team for the cast and crew, the film is also believed to convey a strong social message. This will be Shravanand‘s debut as hero into the Tamil film industry. He is surely to be looked out for in terms of talent. His character’s name would be revealed only in the climax!

‘Engeyum Eppodhum’: Secrets revealed
“When I was about to start Engeyum Eppodhum, the only thing my mentor A.R Murugadoss told me was that the film should add value to Fox Star, who are venturing into Kollywood with this movie,” says Saravanan, the director.
A former associate of A.R Murugadoss, Saravanan is ready with his directorial debut ‘Engeyum Eppodhum‘ which happens to be the maiden production venture of his ‘guru’, in association with Hollywood giant Fox Star.
“The film is about travel. As they say, travel brings a lot of change in human beings. Engeyum Eppodhum is about two pairs (Jai-Anjali and Sharvanand-Ananya) who are on a move but don’t meet,” he says.
Claiming that the film would convey a message to the audience, Saravanan says it would not be preachy however. “After watching Engeyum Eppodhum recently, A.R Murugadoss said that I had made him proud. These words are enough.”

Tomorrow will be a big day for director Saravanan, whose debut venture as director will be put forth before the public for their appraisal and appreciation. ‘Engaeyum Eppothum’ will release in theatres across the state tomorrow (September 16). Saravanan has worked as associate to AR Murugadoss in many of the latter’s films.
Velraj who has been popular for his cinematography in his previous films like ‘Polladhavan,’ ‘Aadukalam’ and ‘Siruthai’ has done the cinematography for this film. National Award winning editor Kishore TE has cut this film to perfection. Sathya who has worked on a lot of jingles is the music director of ‘Engeyum Eppodhum.’
Now sources close to the film reveal that the content of the film is the king, and the script is the hero. The climax of the film will be the highlight because of the painstaking effort put in by the crew for that perfect shot. The climax alone was shot with five cameras in two weeks! Some insiders also reveal that the screenplay in the film is totally new to Indian films; it is touted to take Tamil cinema to a new level.
‘Engaeyum Eppothum,’ when it was presented to the censor board, a lot of appreciation was heaped on the crew members. For all those who were wondering if the film has a villain the answer is yes – and it is fate which plays havoc during climax. ‘Engaeyum Eppothum,’ will be released by Sathyam Cinemas in the city. AGS will be releasing the film in North Arcot, South Arcot and Chengalpattu districts.
Sources in the know also reveal that the Telugu remake rights for this film have been sold for a big fat price.

Recently A.R Murugadoss showed his production venture Engeyum Eppothum is to Aamir Khan. Khan was touched by the film he also congratulated the entire crew of Engeyum Eppothum and patted Murugadoss for making a meaningful film.
Aamir surprised by calling Saravanan who directed the film and praised him for visualizing a beautiful note and executing it as an interesting manner. It is also revealed that Aamir is in plans to remake Engeyum Eppothum in Hindi; apart from eyeing on A.R Murugadoss 7am Arivu.
