Everything from the ‘Mankatha‘ front has made the headlines in media publications, from new media to tabloids to the television. ‘Mankatha‘, as it’s quite known, marks Thala Ajith‘s 50th offering in Tamil cinema and he is donning the avatar of a baddie, the film boasts off a criminal Ajith one would have never seen.
This film directed by Venkat Prabhu has a host of other stars including Arjun, Premgi, Vaibhav, Mahat, Anjali, Lakshmi Rai, Andrea and many others. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The film is a racy one with many twists and it will keep one glued to the screen till the very end of the film, not even sparing the end credits as it will showcase Ajith‘s and other stars’ bloopers which will be quite a laugh riot.

Big booking for ‘Mankatha’
Ajith fans have proved it again. Right from the moment the booking for ‘Mankatha‘, the 50th of film of their Thala, began, they started thronging to cinema halls where the movie will be screened, to get tickets for first day.
Theatre sources say the response is so huge and they are so happy. Even online booking is witnessing a history of sorts, it is said. “Ajith is always referred to as king of opening. It has been proved once again,” they add.
Sun Pictures, which is distributing ‘Mankatha‘ in association with Radhika Sarathkumar‘s Radaan Media, is releasing the film in over 300 theatres in Tamil Nadu. “Since there are two holidays this week (Ramzan and Vinayaka Chathurthi), no doubt that the movie would see a gala opening,” according to trade circles.
Produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri‘s Cloud Nine Movies and directed by Venkat Prabhu, ‘Mankatha‘ is actually a multi-starrer, with the most powerful role played by the Thala. Others in the cast are Arjun, Trisha, Andrea Jeremiah, Anjali, Lakshmi Rai, Premgi Amaran and Vaibhav.
