The first look of ‘Karikalan‘, one of the forthcoming films of Chiyaan Vikram, is finally out when the makers of the period movie came out with advertisements in leading newspapers on Sunday morning.
When we probed unit sources to know more, they said, “The film is set in the backdrop of Chola era, which is considered as the golden period of Tamil Nadu. Vikram is playing a powerful king, who is ready to go to any extent for his people.”
Written and directed by L I Kannan, ‘Karikalan‘ is produced by S Parthi and S S Vasan on Silverline Film Factory banner. Shooting is taking progress on a fast track and some pivotal scenes on Vikram are currently being shot.
Besides ‘Karikalan‘, Vikram is also shooting for ‘Rajapattai‘, directed by Suseenthiran of ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu‘ and ‘Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai‘ fame. He is playing a gym instructor in the movie.

Chiyaan Vikram has recently signed a Magnum opus film titled ‘Karikalan‘, Which happens to be a period drama with Vikram in the lead role.The film is produced by Silverline Film factory and L.I Kannan will direct this film. Katrina Kaif was approached initially for the female lead of the film but was later taken up by Zarine Khan, Who earlier did another period drama along with Salman Khan.The film will have music by Vijay Antony and Karthik will be the cinematographer for this film. The film is said to have a lot of Computer Graphics.
