Mankatha gets U/A

It is now a solution that is worked out to release the film Mankatha without any hassles. Earlier the posters were torn down in Madurai by the Police themselves. Dhayanidhi Alagiri probably had worked out a solution to release the film on time.

Since it would not augur well for the movie to release it under his banner Cloud Nine Movies, he has sold the movie to Studio Green who would take it further towards the release of the film. KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green has produced and released all of Suriya’s and Karthi’s films, since he was their relative. Apart from Ajith who is in the lead role, Arjun, Trisha, Vaibhav, Premji Amaran, Andrea, Anjali and others are starring in this film. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music. The audio CD was released few weeks back and the songs have become popular and topping the list. Sakthi Saravanan has handled the camera. K L Praveen and N B Srikanth are in charge of editing. Mankatha in the hands of Surya

When DMK was in regime Kalaignar Karunanidhi grandsons were ruling the cinema industry. There is news that Durai Azhagiri fearing arrest is in exile in London. Durai Azhagiri’s earlier films Vaa-Quarter Cutting and Azhagar Sami Kuthirai released under the banner Cloud Nine were utter flops which caused heavy losses to the theatre owners. They were also not compensated for the losses because DMK was in rule. Now these theatre owners have refused to screen Mankatha and are also claiming the earlier losses. Because of all these problems they have sold the film at out rate price to Surya’s concern Studio Green. Now Studio Green is releasing this film throughout Tamil Nadu.

To be or not to be – Mankatha release
Venkat Prabhu has had to bear it on all fronts, particularly from Thala fans, when the release of the film is delayed for more than three months and yet there is no news on when Mankatha will release. Till yesterday, Venkat Prabhu faced a lot of brick-bats from Ajith fans for delaying the release.
He finally said, “Mankatha release date is not confirmed. Only Cloud Nine gotta confirm.” But today, reports have started coming in that Manktha’s release date is confirmed on August 31, 2011 because Ayngaran International that procured the overseas rights of the film declared that the film would release on August 31, 2011.

The same happened in Kerala when distributors pushed for a release and announced the date as August 19 or 31, 2011 but they too remained silenced ever since. Now, when Venkat Prabhu feels it is apt only for Cloud Nine Movies and Dhayanidhi Alagiri to confirm the release date, even Ayngaran’s proposed date is still one of doubt.
Though fans eagerly expect and pressurize the makers to release the film, there seems to be a lot going on that prevents the film’s release. If Mankatha releases on August 31, 2011, then that’s news worth celebrating for Ajith’s fans.

Do you know, Mankatha Gets Clean U/A Certificate Without Any Cuts?

‘Mankatha’, thala Ajith’s 50th offering in Tamil cinema is much expected among fans as well as movie patrons, especially, Ayngaran having announced the release date as August 31.

The movie was passed by the Censor Board today who stamped it with a clean U / A. Said a delighted Venkat Prabhu, “Yes, U/A certificate for Mankatha! Censor Board loved it! So you guys get to see everything from the film!”

Sources close to the unit add that the second half of the film has a particular scene where there will be quite a number of beeps, which the unit itself converted to beeps before presenting the film to the censor board! This scene will involve the ‘Mankatha’ boys in a verbal fight with each other, they further add.

‘Mankatha’ has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and we must say the songs have all climbed up the charts. The trailers have upped the oomph quotient as well, what with the chases and a Hollywood classic appeal to it.

Thala fans can now rejoice and head to the film with their families… Are you geared up for the game to begin?
