UTV Motion Pictures has been establishing a prominent position in Kollywood from a very long time. Having churned out some best flicks and TV series, it is now into the a full-swing process of making more movies. First to release from this bandwagon is Vikram-Anushka starrer ‘Deiva Thirumagal’ directed by Vijay. The film is produced by Rajakaliamman Medias and is now acquired by UTV Motion Pictures with 250 prints for release. Following this film, UTV will release Cheran-Prasanna starrer ‘Muran’ that is touted to be a taut thriller involving around 6 strangers.

UTV has now signed 3-film deal with director Lingusamy’s home banner Tirupathi Brothers that includes multi-starrer film ‘Vettai’ with Aarya, Madhavan, Amala Paul and Sameera Reddy in lead roles. Couple of other productions titled ‘Vazhukku En 18/9’ with newcomers and ‘Kumki’ directed by Prabhu Solomon marks the debut of Sivaji Ganeshan’s grandson-Prabhu’s son Vikram.
Apart from these films, UTV Motion Pictures takes on a big-budgeted superhero film titled ‘Mugamudi’ starring Jeeva, Narain and Amala Paul in lead role. The film will be directed by Mysskin and is reported to be a different genre of film.
UTV’s Last Minute Plans for ‘Deiva Thirumagal’
Scenarios are completely changing with ‘Deiva Thirumagal’ now. Produced at a whooping budget, the makers were little disappointed with trade factors.
