GE Gnanavelraja who produced successful films with Surya and Karthi has gone to the court seeking legal remedy.
Gnanavelraja is also the producer of blockbuster hit Singam and it is well known that the producer have sold the rights of the film to Reliance Big Pictures and the film is named as Singham in Hindi. The director has sold the rights of the film with the condition that Reliance should give him 25 percent share in the profits. The Hindi version has been reportedly sold for Rs 82 crores very recently and Reliance has earned Rs 50 crore as profits as the film was made with Rs 32crore.
The film is all set to release on July 22nd but Gnanavelraja have not received his share of 25 percent i.e. Rs 12.5 crores. Gnanavelraja in his legal notice stated that his amount which is due by Reliance should be paid before the film hits the screens on July 22nd.
Let’s wait and see whether the Hindi version Singham will see the light of the day on July 22nd or not.
