Vijay & Ajith fans in Tamilnadu are the most disappointed waiting to hear the release date of Mankatha. “Please tell us the audio launch dates at least,” said fans before going back to their chores hearing nothing from the other side.
Now, there is some good news from the neighboring State Kerala although nothing is confirmed from the Tamilian counterparts yet. Distributors in Kerala have eyed the release dates of August 19, 2011 and August 31, 2011 for Mankatha & Velayudham respectively.
This announcement was made by Divya Pictures from Kozhikode. They have begun to finalize theaters in Kerala for Mankatha already to release the film on August 19, 2011. The State wants to cash in on Onam and Ramzan to rake in the collections.
Meanwhile, Velayudham will have a bumper opening with 100 theaters in the State. Actually, the distributors have been pushing for a release date but still the producers here in Tamilnadu have not responded yet. At least due to this urge from the Kerala distributors, both Mankatha & Velayudham will release sooner than expected. Else, Kerala will release the film before Tamilnadu.
