Known for donning different get-ups to tickle the funny bone of the audience, Vivek will be seen as a Chinese monk in a film titled Naangu Murai, which will be directed and produced by popular yesteryear hero Ramki,
Vivek is playing the lead role in this movie, which is expected to be a laugh riot from scene one. ‘Besides Vivek, there are two other protagonists too in Naangu Marai,’ sources in the know say.
They add: ‘Vivek plays a thief in this film. To escape from the dragnet of the police, he wears the attire of a Chinese monk. Initially he thought of donning the dress of a Hindu saint, but dropped the idea since it may hurt the sentiments of the people here.’
Ramki, who is keen at making a comeback with Naangu Murai, has approached his good friend Vivek who immediately gave his consent to be part of the film, we learn. Vivek and Ramki acted together in Viswanathan Ramamurthy and Palayathu Amman etc.
