Vijay threw a grand birthday bash to director Jayam Raja on the sets of Velayudham recently. A thrilled Raja was pleasantly surprised over the actor’s gesture and said Velayudham will be his gift to Vijay and his fans.
‘We are shaping up Velayudham in a way it would attract all fans of Vijay. There are enough mass elements in the film and the Ilaya Thalapathi could alone act in such a script,’ he said.
Known for remaking many successful Telugu movies in the past, Raja says, ‘But Velayudham is not a remake. It is an original knot. At the same time, the storyline will be familiar.’
Produced by Ascar Films V Ravichandran, Velayudham has Genelia and Hansika Motwani as heroines. Santhanam, M S Bhaskar are also there in the film, which has at least 15 villains.
The other cast and crew of velayudham, also participated in the celebration’s along with Vijay.
