A rare theme from A.R Murugadoss, for whom this was the first venture in which Ajith was crowned with the title Thala. With Laila in the opposite role, the film narrated the rustic heroic deeds of Ajith to demonstrate the devilish violence. The film still has the captivity for its strong screenplay that after 7 years it was dubbed into Telugu with the title Dada. Moreover this was the movie which derived the essential songs for Yuvan Shankar Raja’s composing. The film made the box office rich with the collection of more than 20 crores.

Vishnu vardhan is in awe of the music by yuvan for this film. The combo of Ajith, Vishnu and Yuvan joining after Billa has certainly increased the expectations and the combo is working hard to set a new trend again.
