The story of ‘Mugamudi’ started when Mysskin impressed UTV Motion Pictures with his good job in ‘Anjathey’ and it was supposed to be remade in Hindi with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan. However things didn’t work out and Mysskin made a statement he’s gonna make a taut thriller starring John Abraham in lead role, which has a story taking place in 6 hours.
After all such contradictory issues, Mysskin started off working on a Desi Superman – Mask of Zorro titled ‘Mugamudi’. The film was supposed to have Surya in lead role with Harris Jayaraj scoring music. But it didn’t happen and the next option was Aarya and Simbu.
Though Simbu is very much interested in taking up unique projects, his days are jam packed with ‘Osthi’ and ‘Vettai Mannan’ till November. Gradually, Jeeva becomes the one and only option. Madhan Karky has confirmed that the project was already commenced and it’s on the final stage of preproduction works.
